This may sound like something that should have been done years ago but hey, it’s better late than never! Let’s just be thankful that Facebook has finally decided to add more functionality to its user-generated posts.
Unlike before, Facebook users can now make use of threaded conversations to talk about various topics without the need to search for buried comments that are almost impossible to recover. This new functionality is very useful especially when you’re posting a comment on a popular post.
For example, you posted a comment on a viral “Grumpy Cat” photo and your comment eventually turned into a very interesting conversation. Before you know it, your comment has already attracted a lot of likes and replies. If this scenario is to happen in the old “comment on post” layout, you’ll definitely find it hard to keep the conversation going. With threaded conversations, it would be much easier to keep track of the replies that were posted in relation to your comment. Not only that, Facebook will also sort the comments according to their relevance.
As of now, Facebook is rolling out its threaded conversations as an opt-in feature for Pages but it will eventually become a staple feature starting this July 10th. The said feature will also be rolled out to popular profiles with more than 10,000 subscribers.
