Playing your YouTube playlists on your web browser is quite a breeze but that kind of method won’t work on your mobile browser. Just don’t fret because this tutorial will help you find a better and easier way to play and manage your YouTube playlists on Android.
Just a quick reminder: This method may not work on devices with older Android OS versions. To check the OS version of your device, go to Settings > About Phone then go to Android version.
Step 1: On your Android device, go to Applications then tap the icon for Play Store. Search for the official YouTube for Android app and install it on your tablet or smartphone. *Note: Disregard this step if you already have the app installed.
Step 2: You may need to verify your account by logging in to the web version of YouTube on your mobile browser. To do this, go to m.youtube.com and log-in using your Google username and password.
Step 3: Log in on the app and you’ll notice that there are options for History, Favorites, Watch Later, Playlists and Uploads. Select the option for Playlists and then choose any item on the playlist that you want to play on your tablet or smartphone.
After this, the app will automatically play the videos that you have added in your playlist. If you want to skip a track, just tap the forward or back button. You can also create a new playlist by simply tapping the “plus” icon.
How to Edit or Manage Your YouTube Playlists
Using your mobile browser, go to the web version of YouTube at m.youtube.com. Log-in and view your account to access your playlists then click the edit button. To delete an item in your playlist, click edit then press the “X” button next to the video then click “Done”.
Nonetheless, there are still a lot of things that you cannot do while playing your playlists on YouTube for Android. For example, you cannot play the videos in random order plus there’s no option for automatic playback. It would be nice if YouTube could add these features in its future app versions.
